Meet Patrick Scannell, Business Manager, Part of Our Team for Nearly 29 Years!

Patrick Scannell Business Manager

We would like to introduce to you, Patrick Scannell, our Business Manager who joined StaffLink in August 1992.

Patrick grew up in Webster Groves, MO and graduated from Webster schools. He later attended and graduated from UMSL. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and majored in Management and Organizational Behavior.

He originally joined Stafflink as a part-time Contract Associate and later became a full-timer in our business department. He became our Business Manager in 1998.

Patrick’s Responsibilities

Patrick’s responsibilities are diverse and expansive. Patrick oversees and significantly participates in all accounting and business functions, including taxes, payroll, billing, accounts receivables, accounts payroll, software management, banking relations, financial reporting, vendor selection, website maintenance, etc. Gretchen owns the building where StaffLink is located. Therefore, Patrick has learned a lot about commercial real estate financing and management. Next to Gretchen, our Founder and President, he is the most senior staff person. Gretchen seeks his input and counts on Patrick’s judgement in determining the business direction, including administrative staffing levels, determining marketing methods and direction.

Because of his senior status and proven judgement, he is trusted by the entire administrative team. They know he is a supportive team player, and they can count on him.

He says he has stayed at StaffLink for 28 ½ years because he has been allowed to grow professionally in many different areas of the business. He also says the office feels like a “family type of working environment”.

Pat says what he loves most about the job is knowing that he is part of a team that is helping people remain in their homes and age in place.

Patrick is married and has two children. He has given back to his community in many ways, including serving for two years on his parish school board, a school where his children attended. His favorite family activities are watching his children play sports, which include soccer, golf, field hockey and lacrosse. He also enjoys working on projects at home, playing golf, watching movies, and reading.

His favorite place to visit in St. Louis is the St. Louis Zoo and his favorite sports activity is attending St. Louis Blues games.

Post-pandemic, he is looking forward to trips with the family, going to the movies and attending concerts.
